Current Meeting List

Kazoo Books welcomes new groups!

We welcome new groups to our space. If you are an established group you can schedule your meeting here regularly or schedule for a single meeting. Groups can meet during business hours 9-6 Monday thru Saturday or begin their meeting at 6 pm for an evening session.

There are a couple rooms to choose from. We have the fireplace room or in the annex, classroom setting with tables surrounded by vintage fiction. We have ample parking in back and are handicapped accessible. Coffee and tea are provided, and we also offer use or a kitchenette if you’d like to bring additional refreshments.

If you are interested in starting a new book club or writers group, call us and we can help you spread the word and promote the group.
We also have a number of private groups that meet at the store and you can choose to have a group meet here that has a closed membership.

We charge a fee of $15 per meeting.

Call 269-553-6506 for more information.

Book Groups

Science Fiction Book Club
3rd Saturday of each month, 3 pm  Open group welcoming new members

This group chooses a different book each month. They range from classic Science Fiction to Fantasy. We welcome fans with years of reading experience or new readers interested in the genre.  This is a casual, friendly group that always finds something to talk about and is always interested in learning about new authors and books.

Other Groups

Death Cafe Kalamazoo
4th Tuesday of each month, 6pm
At a Death Cafe, people, often strangers, gather to drink tea and discuss death. Their objective is ‘to increase awareness of death with a view to helping people make the most of their (finite) lives’.

A Death Cafe is a group directed discussion of death with no agenda, objectives or themes. It is a discussion group rather than a grief support or counseling session.

**Schedules are subject to change, especially during the holidays. Please call the store for updates on specific groups.**
