Visit Our New Graphic Novel & Vintage SF Sections

March 31, 2017 by KB Staff

Vint_SF_typeBeen downstairs in the Annex recently? We’ve installed new shelving, moved things around & have now unveiled a new area to browse or relax (or write! Our manual typewriter has found a new home). The Vintage SciFi room features a slew of pre-1980 treasures, lots of DAW books & older SF magazines. We received a large haul of Indie Graphic Novels recently, so were able to check off a longtime wish: displaying them properly in their own dedicated section. We have plenty of Manga, too!

Looking for a Writing Group or Book Club? Start Your Own.

January 6, 2017 by KB Staff

writinggroupWe love book clubs. We love writing groups. Though generally spoken about as solitary endeavors, reading & writing simply aren’t. Or don’t have to be. Many writers find the critiques & relationships with other writers invaluable; most every reader I know likes talking about books (and ideas). Kazoo Books is Consolidating Under One Roof!

September 2, 2016 by KB Staff

JohnK2FrontWe’re so excited! After our holiday break — KB is closed Saturday thru Monday for Labor Day — we will re-open as a single, integrated book store at 2413 Parkview Ave. Our Oakwood location boasts two buildings worth of books (40,000 titles and growing!), a large parking area, a full handicap ramp, and meeting spaces for book clubs & writing groups.

Not only will increased efficiency allow us to spend more time assisting customers, but visitors will see improvements across the board: a broader selection of titles, one-on-one personalized service and our entire staff on hand and available for consultation.

Kazoo Books would like to thank all of our customers for making this move possible & joining us for the next chapter.
